Richard Jackson took on the Wargrave 10K on Sunday 8th June in very hot conditions.
Starting and finishing on grass, the route coursed along undulating country lanes and some residential streets within the village, and had 153ft of ascent.
Jackson finished in a time of 42.51, coming 11th in his category and 56th of 495 runners. The winning time of 34:35 reflect how tough the race was in the hot conditions. The Wargrave outing was a family affair, with Matthew Jackson (8 yrs old, front right in picture) completing the one mile fun run, which consisted of a 2 loop dash around the sport field. Not to be outdone, Matthew didn’t stop and managed a sprint finish to rival his dad’s! Well done Richard and Matthew!
